Conservatory of Trieste offers bachelor and master level courses.
To be admitted it is necessary to take an entrance exam. Application must be presented through the online (ISIDATA portal) procedure by July the 15th. Non-resident students coming from non-EU countries must apply through Universitaly portal. Admission exams will take place on September.
Bachelor Level is reserved for students who have a High School diploma or another equivalent qualification obtained abroad and recognised as suitable. Students already enrolled in the Conservatory are subject to the same procedures as the external aspirants.
Entrance exams will verify skills on the main subject of studies, but also skill test for bases subjects: italian language, theory of music, history of music and harmony.
Master level is reserved for students who have a bachelor level degree consistent with the course chosen. Students already enrolled in the Conservatory are subject to the same procedures as the external aspirants.

Entrance exam verifies if students have appropriate musical and cultural skills and esntrance programs are defined for each study course. Admission exam result is expressed with one of the following indications - suitable, suitable with educational obligations, not suitable - and a mark as a percentage in order to establish a ranking. The adjudicating board for each course is nominated by the Director and consists of at least three teachers. Students could have specific additional training obligations on bases skills (italian language, theory, history and harmony) to fulfil, also through attending relevant training activities. The maximum number of students admitted is established by the Conservatory in relation to the student-teacher ratio, the supply of structures and infrastructures suited to the specific educational activities, in compliance with the requirements defined during the planning and evaluation of the system.
